news of layoffs are staggering and worrisome and the most recent was done by Intel as they just closed shop, Microsoft Philippines however has just announced that the country will not be affected by the announced job cuts worldwide.
this is great news in a string of not so great news lately… at least the IT PINOYs currently employed @ Microsoft (a friend of mine is one of them) can still sleep soundly @ night. 🙂
“While we are not immune to the effects of the economy, I am confident in the strength of our product portfolio and soundness of our approach,” Microsoft chief executive Steve Ballmer said.
