Philippines’ very own “Long Live the Fearless Man” by by Aissa Peñafiel and Miguel Ocampo has been chosen as one of the six winners for the Democracy Video Challenge.
launched last sept 15, 2008 during the International Democracy Day @ the UN, the challenge was to create a video-short that completes the phrase “Democracy is…” this would be a global call to action celebrating democracy wherein participants need to upload their videos on to youtube.
competed along with 900 people from 95 countries, the PINOY’s winning video captured the meaning of democracy in today’s world by incorporating thought-provoking creativity as well as the reality of how democracy is in our country.
aside from meeting other democracy advocates, the winners get to fly to Washington, D.C., New York and Hollywood for free. plus they get to have gala screenings of their winning short videos!
