Apple's WWDC Opens Today.. Promises to be Cloudy

Apple’s Worldwide Developer’s Conference 2011 (WWDC 2011) starts today with big buzz on it’s newest offering, iCloud.

The Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) showcases the latest innovations and the newest technologies in iOS and Mac OS X. Over 1,000 Apple engineers guide you through five exciting days of in-depth technical sessions and hands-on labs that demonstrate how to harness the incredible power of the world’s most advanced operating systems into your apps.

Steve Jobs is said to provide the keynote, focusing on iCloud. as of now, there had been many predictions what this be all about e.g. iCloud will be a personal server in the cloud, an internet-based replacement of iTunes, or an extension of MobileMe iDisk (and so on).. one thing is for sure it is – BIG.

techrepublic reported that for 2yrs now, Apple has been building one of the world’s largest data centers, bigger than that from Google, Amazon, or Microsoft.

if you will remember, this is the same event last year (WWDC 2010) where iPhone 4 and was launched.
