“A substantial number of highly skilled immigrants have started returning to their home countries in recent years, draining a key source of brain power and innovation,” said Robert E. Litan, Kauffman Foundation Research & Policy VP. he also added that this directs economic stimulus to places away from the u.s. to these immigrant’s home countries like India and China.
i believe this inspiring as other tech resources like the IT PINOYs who are abroad may learn from them and eventually bring back the earned knowledge and be innovators themselves.
ask any IT PINOY if they’re willing to go back home and they would generally say, “YES!” (in spite of the “in spite offs”). some of my friends say that they just wanted to earn big but eventually all wanted to go back to put up a business and still retire here with the comforts of family and friends…. ahhh the filipino dream!
