a few months ago i blogged about Wolfram|Alpha, which by some was tagged as the next Google killer, today this much-anticipated (or hyped) tool is launched.
Wolfram|Alpha boasts of a new search algorithm that makes data on the web “computable” via its computational knowledge engine.

There has been a lot of focus on question answering technologies lately. With IBM also getting into the fray with Watson, I think this is an exciting field to look out for. Of course Watson is more about a one time play off in Jeopardy, I guess the underlying technologies of Wolfram Alpha and Watson are similar?
