in light of today’s “water-dousing” incident in the Philippine Senate regarding the sex video controversies involving dr. hayden kho, actress katrina halili atbp. (and others), House Speaker Prospero Nograles has ordered the Congressional Committee on Rules to prioritize the passage of House Bill 4315, also known as the Anti Cyber-Boso Bill (Anti-Voyeurism Bill).
this means once it gets passed, violators could face up to 6yrs of imprisonment and up to P500K in fines.
Commission on Information and Communications Technology chairman Ray Anthony Roxas-Chua III said provisions against the taking and distributing sex videos were being eyed for inclusion in a pending Cybercrime Bill (which has passed Philippine Congress’ 1st reading).
definitely the politicians would be eager in making this into law since the sex videos have now been prevalent and still stays uncontrolled over the web.
