SUCs Urged for a Shared IT Network

state universities and colleges (SUCs) are being urged to invest and utilize shared IT systems to help alleviate process for retrieving student grades/transcripts as well as to allow online payment of tuition fees.

“We recognize that IT systems require extra spending that many SUCs can’t readily afford if they each decided to invest one by one. Thus, one practical approach is for them to form partnerships, combine limited financial resources, and develop shared networks,” Catanduanes Rep. Joseph Santiago said.

doing this would definitely lessen admin work, shorten lines during enrollment, and allow faster retrieval of classcards at the end of the term! i remember experiencing these when i was still studying and the hassle of going through it all. hopefully with the SUCs joining together things would get better.

It's such a great idea to use a shared IT system for state universities and colleges. It will certainly make the schools more efficient and responsive to the needs of their students.I think the Quadra Alliance will be able to help SUCs in achieving this goal. They are a coalition of IT companies that can handle every aspect of a full IT service. here's their websitehttp://www.quadraalliance.com
