the 22yr old co-founder of Diaspora (https://diasp.org), Ilya Zhitomirskiy has passed away over the weekend. the san francisco local media says that suicide might have been the cause of the young technopreneur’s death (although this still needs to be confirmed after a few weeks).
it is noted the Ilya was one of four US college students who launched Diaspora last year in a bid to win fans as an easier, more private alternative to social networking powerhouse Facebook.
