TETRIS – the all time favorite pastime of both slackers and kewl people alike celebrates it’s 25th year today!
it was on june 6, 1984 when Alexey Pajitnov created a game (a puzzle) where you need to fill in horizontal blocks to eliminate rows and thus gain points.
derived from the Greek numerical prefix “tetra” – as all of the game’s pieces (known as Tetrominoes) contain four segments, and “tennis”, which is Pajitnov’s favorite sport.
Google today in fact joins this celebration by “tetrising” their own logo!
